Health data is sensitive. Here is exactly how we protect it, what controls you have, and what we will never do.
Our principles
Your data belongs to you
Your health information is yours. We never sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than providing you with the Healthzee service.
You control what you share
Every piece of information you share with your Care Circle is your choice. You can revoke access at any time. Caregivers only see what you explicitly allow.
Access only when needed
Healthzee staff access your data only when required to provide support and only when you request it. Role-based access controls limit who can see what internally.
Coverage ≠ access
If someone pays for your Premium subscription, they receive no access to your health data. Financial coverage and health data visibility are always separate.
Security controls
Encryption at rest
All health data is encrypted in the database using industry-standard encryption.
Encryption in transit
All data between the app and our servers uses TLS.
Role-based access control
Healthzee staff access is scoped by role. No broad access to user health data.
Audit logging
Access to sensitive data is logged and reviewable.
HIPAA-aligned workflows
Our infrastructure and processes are designed to align with HIPAA requirements for handling protected health information.
BAA available
Business Associate Agreements are available for healthcare organization partners.
What we will never do
- Sell your health data to third parties
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use your health data to train AI models without explicit consent
- Give caregivers access to data you haven't shared with them
- Give Premium sponsors any access to the recipient's health information
- Store or process more data than is necessary to provide the service
Your data rights
Export your data
You can export your Healthzee data from the app at any time in a portable format.
Delete your account
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings. Deletion is irreversible.
Revoke Care Circle access
You can remove any Care Circle member at any time. They immediately lose visibility.
Correct your information
You can edit or delete any health information you've entered in the app.
